Covid Vaccination Protocols
Vaccines support everyone’s safety. Covid-19 vaccinations offer effective safeguards from individual infection and protection of the community’s health. Robust levels of vaccination on campus help Susquehanna University maintain normal activity.
Definition
Up to date:
a person 6 years or older has received a single dose of updated Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna Covid-19 vaccine. For more information, visit the CDC website.
Student Vaccinations
Susquehanna University strongly recommends that students who learn, live or work on campus to be up to date with the Covid vaccine.
Students who participate in university-sponsored international travel should consider latest CDC recommendations and must follow host-location requirements prior to their departure.
Student-athletes must be compliant with Susquehanna and NCAA vaccination protocols prior to the start of athletic practices and competitions.
Students who are not up to date vaccinated against Covid-19 are encouraged to talk to your doctor or pharmacist about the benefits of the vaccine and your medical concerns.
Employee Vaccinations
Employees are recommended to be up to date vaccinated.
Faculty and staff members who participate in the Global Opportunities Program as GO directors are required to know host location requirements for Covid vaccination.
Employees who are not up to date vaccinated against Covid-19 are encouraged to talk to your doctor or pharmacist about the benefits of the vaccine and your medical concerns.

Shot Appointment. Faculty and staff are encouraged to receive the Covid-19 bivalent vaccine and may schedule an appointment during the workday — notifying their supervisor and recording sick leave.
- Shot Recovery. Faculty and staff who need time to recover from the vaccine should notify their supervisor and record sick leave on their timesheets.
